Senior Software Engineer – Production Support

Responsibilities:
– Design, develop, and optimize applications and systems in a production environment using Java, Angular, JavaScript, and database technologies.
– Manage large-scale data integrations, including file-based (CSV, XML) and API-based (RESTful, SOAP) systems, to ensure seamless data flow.
– Swiftly troubleshoot and resolve production issues, minimizing downtime and user impact.
– Proactively identify and address potential issues to maintain high availability, performance, and reliability of applications.
– Implement and maintain data security and integrity across production systems.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, product managers, and data engineers, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
– Participate in code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and adhere to coding standards and best practices.
– Mentor junior engineers, setting the standard for quality, problem-solving, and communication.
Qualifications:
– 5+ years of experience in a senior engineering role, with expertise in Java, database technologies (SQL/NoSQL), and frontend technologies like Angular, JavaScript, and HTML.
– Strong understanding of data integrations, including file-based formats (CSV, XML) and API-based systems (RESTful, SOAP).
– Solid knowledge of database design, optimization, and query performance.
– Hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps practices.
– Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently resolve issues.
– Proficiency with version control systems like Git in collaborative environments.
– Proven track record of success in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Advanced expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks like Angular.
– Experience with microservices architectures and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
– Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tooling.
– Knowledge of Agile methodologies and task management tools like Jira.
– Experience with performance monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
– Proactive attitude and ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of tasks and delivering results.
– Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience working in a remote team setting.
Salary:
The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $145,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
