Role: Senior Data Engineer at 0x
As a Senior Data Engineer at 0x, you will play a crucial role in shaping our culture and practices. You thrive in ambiguous situations and excel at finding solutions. You are passionate about using data to drive decision-making and growth within our organization and the broader Ethereum community. You are experienced in data management and are dedicated to maintaining high standards of data hygiene. You are able to analyze large data sets, present your findings effectively, and enjoy working with experimental and cutting-edge technology. Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the Data Team, Product Managers, and Engineers to improve data accessibility and usability for decision-making.
– Develop and maintain efficient, scalable ETL pipelines for real-time and batch data processing to meet 0x’s data needs.
– Contribute to the development of 0x Data APIs for internal and external applications, with a focus on scalability and security.
– Establish and maintain data observability processes and standards.
– Contribute to the 0x and broader Ethereum communities.
– Encourage innovation and guide the team in exploring new data engineering and blockchain technologies and methodologies.
– Identify and implement process improvements and automation to enhance data management and analysis efficiency.
– Mentor team members and foster a collaborative team environment.
– Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to maintain 0x’s leadership in data practices within the crypto industry.
Requirements:
– Passion for decentralization and the 0x mission.
– Demonstrate core values: integrity, consistency, and creating lasting value.
– 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
– 1+ years of experience with Ethereum or Solana.
– Experience building and operating highly available data pipelines.
– Familiarity with Apache Kafka or other data pub/sub systems.
– Experience with Data Modeling and Architecture.
– Proficient in programming, preferably in Python and/or TypeScript/Node/Go.
– Flexible and adaptable to change.
Preferred:
– Experience with AWS (or Microsoft/Google Clouds).
– Experience analyzing, cleaning, and preparing reports using blockchain data.
– Experience with Apache Airflow.
– Experience building and maintaining Data APIs for internal and external users.
– Experience deploying projects using Docker/Kubernetes.
– Experience with PostgreSQL (or other RDBMS) and Clickhouse (or other Analytic Database/Platform).
