Position: Senior Product Designer

Our platform allows them to quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments from their customers, while providing a seamless and professional experience. The Fintech team plays a crucial role in Jobber’s success and is a strategic priority for our company. We empower small businesses to gain a better understanding of their financial health and make meaningful progress in improving it. By providing innovative solutions that simplify financial management and drive business growth, we help our customers thrive. Whether through increasing revenue, improving cash flow, or building financial confidence to achieve their goals, the work of the Fintech team directly contributes to Jobber’s mission of supporting small businesses in building stronger, more sustainable futures.
The role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Design, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of Engineers and Product Managers to achieve our business and user goals. By balancing UI, UX, research, and content design, you will shape every aspect of the user experience. As a Senior Product Designer, you will design user-centric, high-quality experiences for our core product offerings, tailored to the unique needs of home service businesses.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will:
– Be part of a product team, working to deliver creative solutions across our product ecosystem.
– Set a design vision for your team and stakeholders through wireframes, flow diagrams, interface designs, and mockups.
– Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand our users and use your findings to influence others.
– Ensure that your team and other teams deliver a consistent, thoughtful, and thorough user experience in all their work.
– Mentor and provide feedback to other designers at Jobber, helping them achieve similar outcomes in their product areas.
– Contribute to and lead UX strategy in close partnership with your Product Owner.
In order to be successful in this role, you should:
– Have established and relevant experience as a designer in a team setting, working with web or mobile SaaS products.
– Be proficient in the tools required for your craft (we use Figma, Miro, pencil and paper, and a few others) and know when to use each one.
– Demonstrate an understanding of the difference between a good and bad user experience and have the ability to drive positive change.
– Showcase expert visual and interaction skills in your portfolio.
– Have a curious mind and the ability to dive into customer pain points to come up with beautiful solutions and engaging experiences. You may not always be successful, but your ability to see the positive side of failure will drive you forward.
– Understand the constraints and opportunities of designing for the web and mobile.
– Excel at collaboration, as design is all about communication. Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills are a must.
