About the Role:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our Professional Services team. In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement cutting-edge digital solutions that meet our clients’ specific needs. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about pushing boundaries and strives for excellence, in line with Olive Jar Digital’s mission to drive transformative change in the digital landscape.
Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with departments in Government, 3rd and Private Sectors, and other global players who manage data platforms to understand existing and future plans.
– Manage and optimize technology platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Databricks.
– Oversee storage patterns, including data lake, data warehouse, and data lakehouse.
– Support primary use cases, including reporting, analytics, and AI/ML.
– Work with diverse data sources, including relational, flat files, APIs, and streaming.
– Handle various data formats, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured.
– Utilize tools like Python, SQL, Spark, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Dagster, and dbt for data processing.
– Manage data volumes and ingestion rates, including ad-hoc, monthly, daily, and real-time.
– Implement tooling to define and share metrics with users.
– Manage tools for collecting, organizing, and publishing metadata.
– Establish processes and tools to monitor data usage and performance metrics.
– Enforce least privilege principles through schema, table, column, and row-level access controls.
– Ensure compliance with data retention policies, such as GDPR.
– Facilitate secure data sharing with external entities, including government departments, agencies, and universities.
– Monitor and improve data quality.
– Provide onboarding and support for users of the data platform.
– Use analytics tools like Jupyter Notebook, RStudio, and SQL to manipulate and analyze data.
– Utilize data visualization tools like Dash, RShiny, PowerBI, and Quicksight for different target audiences.
– Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including data engineering, data analysis, data architecture, data science, ML Ops, analytics engineering, and SRE.
– Work within teams of varying sizes and seniority levels.
