Position: Analytics Engineer at Evolve

We are constantly evolving how guests interact with vacation rentals and how homeowners maximize rental income generation. Our Data & Analytics Engineering team plays a vital role in ensuring data is a trusted and valued asset that is available to all levels of the organization for innovation, visualization, analytics, reporting, data hygiene, and data science.
What you will do:
– Develop data visualizations, data models, data marts, star schemas, curated data sets, and ETL processes to support business goals
– Use SQL, Python, Snowflake scripting, and data transformation tools like Matillion and dbt to curate and transform data from the data lake and data warehouse into appropriate data sets and star schema structures
– Gain a deep understanding of the data you are working with
– Ensure the quality and trustworthiness of data sources used for reporting, dashboards, and analytics
– Maintain and optimize Evolve’s cloud data platform, environment, and infrastructure
– Design and implement processes to automate monitoring on key company metrics
– Manage the deployment and monitoring of scheduled data transformation and visualization processes
– Define quality standards and train other team members on ELT, SQL, Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau
– Provide self-service data transformation and visualization support
– Collaborate with stakeholders to develop scalable solutions for new and modified data sources
– Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively while communicating progress and status clearly.
Qualifications:
– 5+ years of experience in a developer, architect, engineer, or DBA role working with large data sets
– Strong knowledge of SQL
– Experience coding with Python is preferred
– Familiarity with Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, Tableau, and AWS is preferred
– Proficiency with Git version control and repository management in Gitlab
– Experience with enterprise ELT tools such as Fivetran, dbt, Matillion, or similar ETL/ELT tools
– Expertise in one or more cloud-based data warehouses, such as Snowflake
– Experience building and using dimensional data models using star schema techniques
– Ability to explain complex information and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
– Enjoy supporting team members by sharing technical knowledge and solving problems
– Enjoy working in a connected, collegial environment, whether remote, hybrid, or on-site
– Familiarity with documenting data definitions and code
– Thrive in a fast-paced, energetic, results-oriented environment
– Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $140,000, depending on relevant experience.
Location:
All Evolve team members must reside in one of our approved locations by their first day. We can hire from anywhere in the U.S. except D.C. and Hawaii. Some positions may have restrictions based on compensation in the following states: California, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Washington. If you live in Colorado, you can work remotely anywhere in the state, at our downtown Denver office, or a hybrid of both!
