Position: Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer at Juniper

Location: Toronto or Vancouver (remote-first work environment)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About Juniper:

Juniper is a fast-growing crowdfunding and merchandise platform for independent creators. Our platform not only supports creators in launching and funding their products, but also handles product creation, storefront design, and shipping. We have successfully launched over 2,500 unique products and generated over $200M in revenue since 2016.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the CTO (ex-Amazon, ex-Google) and COO (ex-Uber) to design, build, and scale software solutions that address critical business problems.

• Help shape the engineering culture and transition into a technical lead role as the developer team grows.

• Own various areas of the platform, including the shopping experience, storefront rendering engine, no-code website editor, and inventory and financial management system.

• Provide technical leadership across the entire stack and collaborate with the CTO and COO to define the long-term technical strategy.

• Mentor other engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and championing their adoption to boost efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern web technologies, including TypeScript, React, Node.js, and databases.

• Strong foundation in architecting production-scale systems and deploying cloud infrastructure.

• Ownership mindset and ability to make an impact on the customer and business.

• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.

• Optional experience as a tech lead, mentoring engineers, managing project sprints, and defining roadmaps.
