Position: Product Designer – Vizcom

Role Summary:
We are seeking a talented Product Designer who is passionate about creating visually stunning designs and innovative user interactions. In this role, you will have ownership over our core products, including Vizcom Workbench and Vizcom Studio, and will be responsible for taking our design practices to the next level. Your role will require you to be a visionary thinker and an effective team player, collaborating with various departments to bring our product roadmap to life. As a member of our growing design team, you will help shape a culture of user-centric design and bridge the gap between imagination and reality.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Product, AI Research, Product Marketing, and Management to develop solutions for our whiteboarding canvas, drawing studio, and 3D features
– Create mockups and prototypes in Figma to clearly convey design ideas and gather feedback from stakeholders
– Work closely with AI engineers and researchers to understand technical constraints and user needs
– Ensure that features are tested and delivered with the best user experience through close collaboration with our QA team
– Contribute to the product roadmap by understanding customer needs through user research and data
– Advocate for UX design best practices and help establish a design-led product process within the organization
– Develop a robust design system based on best practices to support our growing teams
– Organize brainstorming sessions with the design team and stakeholders to foster collaboration
– Implement a process for user feedback and testing to inform design decisions
Qualifications:
– 5-8 years of experience as a product designer
– A portfolio showcasing your UX, UI, visual, and interaction design skills
– Advanced proficiency in Figma
– Ability to design around technical constraints and varying hardware experiences while maintaining a seamless user experience
– Strong problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex issues into focused and understandable solutions
– Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Bonus: Experience working remotely or in a startup environment
Interview Process:
– Initial screening with Head of Design
– Conversation with Head of People
– Portfolio presentation to Head of Design
– Take-home project (paid) and review with Head of Design
– Executive interview with CEO

Compensation:
The targeted base pay range for this position is $140,000 – $190,000, with eligibility for equity. Actual offer will be determined based on factors such as experience, location, and other business considerations. The overall compensation package described in this post applies to W2, U.S. based employees, and may vary for other locations based on local requirements and employment laws.
