Senior UX Designer
Blue Acorn iCi is seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer to join our team of over 400 experts, delivering innovative solutions in customer experience, commerce, and data. As a digital consultancy, we empower businesses to navigate large-scale transformations and elevate their brands in industries such as media, consumer goods & retail, financial services, manufacturing, and technology.
As a Senior UX Designer, you will be responsible for leading design projects based on UX research and findings. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in user interface design, interaction design, visual design, or a similar role. You must be a team player and possess strong problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to present and defend design decisions to clients.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies. You should also have experience with Agile development practices and be able to integrate UX into them. A portfolio review is required.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead UI design projects based on UX findings and collaborate with design team
– Create user interface designs and prototypes informed by UX research
– Conduct research to develop a strategic approach to information architecture
– Gather feedback from clients and incorporate it into design solutions
– Design flexible UI that aligns with client brand guidelines
– Perform competitive analysis of client’s competitors’ websites
– Develop information architecture designs and documentation
– Present and defend responsive wireframes to meet client needs
– Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects
– Document designs and work with developers to ensure design goals are met
– Perform visual quality assurance on finished web products
Qualifications:
– 5+ years of experience as a user interface designer, interaction designer, visual designer, or similar role
– Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
– Excellent conceptualization and visual communication abilities
– Proficiency in wireframing and visual design
– Familiarity with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies
– Experience with Agile development practices
– Self-motivated and dedicated to customer success
– Knowledge of usability and information architecture
– Experience with eCommerce and enterprise websites
– Ability to manage multiple projects and switch between them effectively
– Proficiency in Sketch and version control/Abstract
– Front-end development and/or mobile design experience is a plus
