In this role, you will lead a team of engineers to develop future Roofr products and technologies. You will work closely with product teams to drive our product and technology roadmap and establish organization-wide standards and processes for software and technical methodologies. Additionally, you will evaluate existing engineering tools and processes, recommend improvements, and mentor the engineering team to help them grow their skills.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 7 years of software development experience and 3 years in a leadership role. You should be passionate about agile methodologies and have experience with organizing engineering plans, scheduling, and budgets. We are looking for someone who can coach and mentor team members, break down complex problems into incremental solutions, and proactively recommend initiatives to improve our engineering technologies and culture.
We value collaboration and continuous learning, so we are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and takes ownership of their work. Excellent communication skills and a strong appreciation for good documentation are also essential. Experience with microservice architecture, Restful APIs, PHP and Laravel, JavaScript and React, database technologies, and frontend testing and automation systems is preferred. Knowledge of DevOps, Big Data/Data Science, Machine Learning, and GIS is a plus.
