Position: Business Analyst at Mission Lane

Mission Lane is a rapidly growing fintech company based in the United States with a mission to provide access to credit for millions of Americans and redefine consumer credit for the better. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our Collections & Recoveries team.

Key Responsibilities:

– Use data-driven and customer-focused approach to shape and advance our Loss Mitigation strategy, with a focus on credit, product, and operations.
– Take ownership of solving delinquency-related challenges, uncover actionable insights, influence strategy, and drive meaningful change for both our customers and our business.
– Collaborate with industry veterans across finance, product, and software engineering to sharpen skills across credit, analytics, operations, and technology.
– Package quantitative and qualitative insights into clear, concise business cases to influence leadership and drive real outcomes.
– Leverage data, technology, and customer-back thinking to deliver key initiatives that enable our customers and our business to succeed.
– Work closely with partners across Product, Credit, Finance, Engineering, and Operations to understand current state and identify opportunities for improvement.
– Continuously analyze current business and operational data and processes to identify improvement opportunities.
– Use analytical findings to build best-in-class Collections and Recoveries capabilities in areas such as Segmentation, Offer Strategy, Contact Strategy, and Operational Infrastructure to best serve delinquent and charged-off customers in resolving their debt and improving their financial lives.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
– 3+ years of experience in analytics in the financial services industry.
– Hands-on experience with A/B testing.
– Proficiency in SQL for data exploration and analysis.
– Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
– Passion for diving into data and uncovering insights.
– Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
– Strong business intuition, able to prioritize and navigate trade-offs in a fast-paced environment.
– Ownership mentality and ability to work independently.
– Excellent presentation skills and ability to turn data into compelling stories for diverse stakeholders.
– Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

– Annual full-time base salary range: $94,000 – $143,000.
– Additional compensation in the form of participation in our annual incentive program and equity, dependent on role.
– Compensation based on factors such as work experience, education, certifications, training, skills, and competencies.
