Position: Java Back-End Engineer at Trustly

Role Overview:
As a Java Back-End Engineer, you will be an integral part of our product engineering team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Trustly’s systems, as well as developing and implementing new tools and solutions to support our growing network of merchants and consumers. We are looking for a self-motivated and collaborative individual who is passionate about technology and has a strong understanding of software engineering concepts.
Responsibilities:
– Design and implement efficient technical solutions, including creating technical documentation and assessing new tools
– Provide training for newcomers and operational teams
– Monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot and fix issues, and make necessary database changes
– Lead initiatives related to business requirements, functional discussions, and technical refinements
– Develop complex solutions and lead bug fixing, as well as analyze and investigate system data and logs
Qualifications:
– Strong knowledge and experience with Java
– Familiarity with software engineering concepts and relational/non-relational databases
– Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
– Ability to work with remote and international teams and communicate effectively
– Fluent in English, both written and verbal
