Grow Progress is seeking a talented and experienced Senior UI/X Product Designer to join our team. As a rapidly growing company focused on using technology to drive positive change, we are looking for a highly motivated individual to help us develop tools that enable our clients to practice ethical persuasion. About the Position
As the Senior UI/X Product Designer, you will lead design projects from conception to implementation and iteration. A typical week may involve leading design sprints, creating wireframes and prototypes, collaborating with engineers, and working with product managers to align on ongoing projects. Your role will require a balance between attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture, while always keeping the user at the center of your design decisions.
About You
You are a seasoned “full-stack” designer with expertise in UI and data visualization design. You have a passion for creating aesthetically appealing and user-friendly interfaces and are comfortable working with complex information. You are able to back up your design decisions with data and effectively communicate with various stakeholders. You are also empathetic and constantly seeking ways to improve communication and relationships with both users and coworkers. You have a strong commitment to creating a more accessible, inclusive, and equitable world.
Responsibilities
– Lead design projects from conception to implementation and iteration
– Conduct user research and synthesize feedback from design critiques
– Collaborate with engineers to provide feedback and guidance on design implementation
– Work with product managers to align on ongoing projects
– Tag user research insights in Productboard
– Craft design assets such as wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes
– Communicate industry standards and trends related to UI and product design
– Improve existing design systems and processes
– Create clear and visually appealing data visualizations
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design products for B2B/enterprise clients
– Facilitate remote design exercises
– Bring a passion for politics and progressive change to your work
Requirements
– A portfolio showcasing your UI design experience and full-stack design skills
– Proven ability to communicate design ideas effectively with stakeholders
– Thorough understanding of industry standards and trends in UI and product design
– Experience with emerging design systems and cross-disciplinary processes
– Expertise in data visualization design
– Strong visual design skills and aesthetic taste
– Experience collaborating with product and agile engineering teams
– Strong stakeholder and upward management skills
– Commitment to clear and inclusive communication
– Passion for politics and progressive change
– Current U.S. work authorization
Bonus Skills and Experience
– Experience designing for B2B/enterprise clients
– Ability to facilitate engaging design exercises remotely
– Knowledge of market research, performance marketing, and ad testing industries
– Proficiency in product design software (we use Figma)
– Interest in picking up new tools quickly
Hiring Process:
– Phone Screen: A brief interview with our Director of People to discuss behavioral and logistical questions and answer any questions about the position and company.
– Experience Interview: An interview with our design team to evaluate your experience and alignment with our team goals.
– Behavioral Interview: A panel interview with members of the design team and cross-functional peers.
– Design Collaboration Challenge: An evaluative stage consisting of three parts – receiving a design challenge brief, running a collaboration session with a cross-functional panel, and debriefing with our Design Manager.
– Final Interview: A final interview with executive leadership.
