Procurify, a leading AI-enhanced procurement and AP automation platform for mid-market organizations, is seeking a talented and team-driven Manager, Product Design to join our team.
About Us:
At Procurify, we make it easy for organizations to take control of spend and save money. We are looking for a Manager, Product Design with a breadth of experience in strategy, research, UI/UX design, usability testing, design system, and design operations. You will lead a team of talented designers in solving various user problems, utilizing the double-diamond design playbook and frameworks such as Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) to create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and personas. As a customer-centric individual, you have a knack for identifying and addressing customer needs to build products that are in demand. Your role will be crucial in shaping our design function and aligning it with our product strategy.
At Procurify, collaboration is key. This role requires building relationships both internally and externally and advocating for our customers. We are seeking entrepreneurial individuals who are willing to challenge the status quo and contribute to our larger strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management
– Lead and manage a team of product designers, ensuring their professional development, providing regular feedback, setting goals, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer-centricity.
– Identify gaps in the team and participate in recruiting and onboarding new designers as needed.
– Manage the team’s growth to scale with product needs.
– Ensure effective resource allocation for design projects.
– Track team’s progress and success through key performance indicators (KPIs) such as eNPS, career progression milestones achieved, and retention rate of design team members.
Design Strategy & Vision
– Define and communicate product design vision, strategy, and goals to the team and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with product strategy and business goals.
– Champion design thinking and promote the value of UX across the organization by collaborating with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
– Utilize design trends and best practices to drive innovation and develop industry-leading products that differentiate us from our competition.
– Ensure cohesion of product design across all modules and platforms, understanding the end-to-end customer experience and balancing consistency with best-in-class design for each platform.
– Measure success through KPIs such as timely delivery of vision work, number of feature improvements initiated by the design team, and user journey improvements based on user feedback.
Collaboration & Process Optimization
– Work closely with the Head of Product and engineering leads to ensure alignment between design, product, and technical goals.
– Establish and maintain an efficient end-to-end product design process.
– Implement DesignOps to streamline communication, tooling, and collaboration within the team and with cross-functional partners.
– Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve design quality and consistency.
– Oversee the maintenance and evolution of design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across product lines.
– Measure success through KPIs such as reduction in design-to-development cycle time and design system adoption.
Business Impact & Strategic Contributions
– Drive design efforts that directly contribute to business goals, such as improving customer retention, enhancing onboarding, or driving adoption.
– Define and track metrics that demonstrate the impact of design on user satisfaction, business KPIs, and overall product success.
– Ensure the design team’s work aligns with providing an exceptional customer and user experience, potentially influencing the broader customer journey beyond product interactions.
– Measure success through KPIs such as CSAT of key personas and measurable contribution to revenue growth or cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
– 3+ years of experience as a design manager or lead designer in a B2B SaaS organization, managing direct reports.
– Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in UX design and design leadership, including knowledge of native iOS, Android, and web patterns in B2B applications.
– Experience in developing, executing, and maintaining a career matrix.
– Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
– Experience leading a fully remote team.
– Proven track record of establishing a strong, collaborative design practice with a healthy feedback culture.
– Deep understanding of user research, usability testing, and creating designs that are user-friendly and business-savvy.
– Ability to set a vision and roadmap for design and align with company’s product and business goals.
– Ability to quickly gain a high-level understanding and deep dive into specific details.
– Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate the design team and beyond.
– Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, influencing product strategy, and ensuring world-class product execution.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into simple and intuitive designs.
– Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and fast-paced, iterative design cycles.
– Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
– Knowledge of front-end development technologies and their impact on design is a plus.
