Position: Game Data Analyst
Magnopus, a leading technology company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Game Data Analyst to join our team. Founded by a team of Oscar-winning artists, designers, and engineers from various industries, we are dedicated to creating immersive experiences that merge the physical and digital worlds in innovative ways. As a Studio Analyst at Magnopus, you will play a crucial role in analyzing game data and providing valuable insights and recommendations for improvement. Your expertise will empower our development teams to make informed decisions that enhance player experiences and drive the success of our projects. You will also be responsible for identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with our business goals and user experience, allowing us to track and measure our progress in delivering exceptional content. This is a fixed-term contract position until June 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with game developers on a daily basis during active development cycles to implement and test analytics libraries.
– Utilize analytical languages and tools such as SQL, R, and Tableau to conduct in-depth analyses.
– Present descriptive and prescriptive metrics and analyses to assist Magnopus in making informed decisions about our games.
– Mentor and empower colleagues and partners, sharing your expertise in game analytics.
– Monitor and track key metrics such as user retention and time spent, and assess the impact of content updates.
– Develop reporting dashboards to visualize key metrics and analytics.
– Provide reports on analytics results, blocking issues, and quality status to the development team, facilitating discussions around risk areas.
– Use your knowledge of video game features and player behavior to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
– Previous experience in the game industry, with a focus on game development, release, or live operations.
– Strong proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of relational databases.
– Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Microstrategy, or Power BI.
– Experience in game development, with knowledge of languages like TypeScript and C++.
– Passion for gaming and content creation, demonstrated through a deep interest in player behavior and game analytics.
