Modash is a rapidly growing platform that connects independent creators with brands for sponsorship opportunities. Our mission is to empower creators to earn a living doing what they love. We are seeking a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our Data team and help bring our mission to life.
Responsibilities:
– Take ownership of building and maintaining the best data platform for influencer marketing
– Collaborate with team members, including pair programming and mob reviewing, to ensure high-quality work
– Participate in all aspects of the data product, including brainstorming, planning, implementation, reviewing, releasing, and maintaining
– Provide well-reasoned ideas on the best technical direction, including frameworks and tools to use
– Build systems to ensure high-quality data for customers to make informed decisions
– Participate in code reviews, tech planning, and feedback to continuously learn and improve
– Avoid being dependent on others and take initiative as a proactive and autonomous individual
– Never settle for the status quo and always question and seek to improve processes and systems.
Requirements:
– Experience with Typescript, Nodejs, and Python
– Experience with APIs and related components (API gateways, services, security, throttling, proxies, caching)
– Hands-on experience with data scraping, collection, and processing
– Experience working with large amounts of data or systems that handle data at a large scale
– In-depth knowledge of the AWS ecosystem, including API Gateway, ECS, Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, S3, Glue, and EMR
– Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and storage services (such as S3)
– Willingness to work on all aspects of product features, including scoping, architecting, coding, testing, and rolling out
– Familiarity with our tech stack, including AWS with Pulumi, Node.js with Typescript on AWS Lambdas and ECS, PySpark on EMR, and Apache Airflow
– Proficiency with GitHub, Yarn, Jest, Miro, Confluence, Linear, and GSuite.

– Fluent or nearly fluent in English
