Job Title: Senior Backend Developer

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled backend developer to join our cross-functional app team. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and building the business logic and protocols that support flexible flows, scale highly distributed systems, and continuously improve our infrastructure. Your contributions will help us fulfill our mission of providing the best learning experience for our users.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to design, build, and ship major user-facing features using C#, ASP.NET Core, and TypeScript.
– Develop backend components using SQL Server and Entity Framework Core as ORM.
– Design scalable APIs and services to support the growth of the Mimo platform.
– Build and maintain infrastructure, toolsets, and deployment pipelines while taking ownership of the services.
– Ensure code quality through engineering best practices like code reviews.
– Proactively address issues and maintain reliability by securing, monitoring, and analyzing logs in cloud-based environments (we use GCP).
– Prioritize user experience and pay close attention to detail when making trade-offs.
– Embrace the DevOps mindset and be eager to learn and explore DevOps and SRE practices.
– Have knowledge of architecture, containerization, and orchestration, with a willingness to learn and use systems like Docker, Kubernetes, and Platform as a Service.
– Take ownership of problems and solve them entirely, rather than just delivering a quick solution.
– Work within the time zone range of UTC 0 to UTC+2.
Qualifications:
– A minimum of three years of experience as a backend developer, preferably working on consumer-facing products.
– Proven experience in C# and ASP.NET Core, with a strong understanding of API design and best practices.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take decisive action when needed.
– A passion for delivering high-quality code and maintaining application performance.
– Practical experience with securing, monitoring, and troubleshooting in cloud-based environments.
– Detail-oriented with a user-centric mindset.
– Familiarity with DevOps and SRE principles.
– Knowledge of architecture, containerization, and orchestration systems.
– Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of ownership.
