As a leader in the entertainment industry, we have a long history of empowering creativity and supporting the global entertainment industry. Our family of brands, including Backstage, CAPS, Checks & Balances, Final Draft, Media Services, Sargent-Disc, and The TEAM Companies, offers a wide range of entertainment technology and services, including screenwriting accounting software, digital payroll products, data & reporting, and creative tools.

As the industry continues to evolve and move faster than ever, our expertise, technology, and people are in high demand. That’s why we’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team. Our process is a modified Kanban process that values curiosity, trust, and impact, and encourages continuous learning and improvement. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will have the autonomy to make your own decisions and work at your own pace to deliver value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

– Collaborate with product, marketing, business intelligence, and design teams to create beautiful, usable interfaces for desktop and mobile web
– Design engineering plans to meet product requirements
– Utilize a modern tech stack, including TypeScript and React, to build complex web applications
– Contribute to and influence frontend architecture decisions
– Work closely with product, marketing, and customer service to translate customer feedback into successful features and tools
– Collaborate with other frontend engineers to maintain shared code and front-end infrastructure
– Coordinate with back-end engineers to ensure a cohesive experience

Requirements:

– Proven experience building major products or features from scratch at scale for a large public-facing web application
– Advanced proficiency with TypeScript and React
– Experience with CSS, preferably with TailwindCSS
– Deep understanding of state management and data fetching approaches in the React ecosystem
– Knowledge of different rendering techniques (server-side rendering, static-site generation, client-side rendering)
– Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Webpack and Vite
– Experience incrementally rolling out new features, components, or refactors without blocking the rest of the team, and maintaining live products
– Strong project management skills, including the ability to organize, adhere to processes, and execute projects across disciplines and by deadline
– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences
– Comfortable with the entire development life cycle, from inception to release, in an Agile environment
– Collaborative, engaged, and adaptable, with the ability to join a team with a large, mature codebase and established engineering processes
– Flexible and proactive, able to shift gears quickly in a fast-paced environment
– Familiarity with Python and/or Django is a plus
