Role Summary:

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing end-to-end solutions for complex, high-impact projects. You will lead the architecture of our platform and keep it at the cutting edge of Conversational AI, fintech, and software development. Your technical leadership will inspire and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions. You will also have the opportunity to solve challenging problems and drive technical excellence within the company.

Responsibilities:

– Architect and lead the design and implementation of end-to-end solutions for complex projects
– Stay current with the latest trends in Conversational AI, fintech, and software development to drive innovation
– Work closely with the CTO and engineering leads to establish best practices and technical standards
– Tackle tough challenges such as optimizing performance, scalability, and security
– Share your expertise and insights to elevate the technical bar and drive technical excellence

Qualifications:

– 10+ years of experience in building and delivering complex, scalable technical products, with a strong emphasis on Node.js
– Deep expertise in frameworks like Express.js, Hapi.js, and Koa.js, as well as NoSQL and relational databases
– Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments, preferably in startups ranging from 5 to 30 employees
– Extensive knowledge of distributed systems, low-latency applications, and microservices
– Proven track record with real-time interactions and technologies like web sockets, long-polling, and server-sent events
– Hands-on experience implementing security and data protection measures
– Creative and tenacious problem-solving mindset
– Strong advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing
– Bonus points for experience with AI models and their integrations, proficiency in React and Python, or familiarity with fintech or financial services industries
