As a Senior Developer at Coconut Software, you will lead our growing development teams in efficiently and rapidly building solutions to revolutionize the banking experience for leading financial institutions. This role focuses on iteration, experimentation, and stability, with a strong emphasis on business outcomes and aligning departmental development goals with overall company goals.
Responsibilities:
– Act as a technical leader and essential contributor for projects, creating solutions that meet market needs and meet development goals
– Oversee and mentor Junior and Intermediate Developers within the organization
– Design fully functioning, debugged code with required documentation and ensure seamless delivery of features to customers
– Motivate and engage a team while demonstrating strong leadership skills to influence effective teamwork and task work throughout the development cycle
– Participate in customer conversations to ensure the delivery of valuable products and features
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, with a focus on higher quality software and greater overall efficiency
Requirements:
– 5+ years of SaaS development experience
– Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
– Experience with REST and associated technologies (JWT, JWE, etc)
– Expert understanding of object-oriented programming, specifically with PHP (ideally PHP 7+)
– Advanced understanding of server-side software development, preferably with Laravel or CakePHP
– Expert understanding of front end technologies, specifically with JavaScript, CSS, and React
– Strong understanding of GIT and associated workflows (pull requests, code reviews)
– Experience with MariaDB (MySQL)
– Tech or team lead experience is not mandatory but would be a bonus
