Senior Business Analyst – McFadyen Digital

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Business Analyst to join our team. As a cross-functional liaison, you will work closely with business stakeholders to understand and address their requirements and issues. You will collaborate with architects and technical leads to develop innovative solutions and turn strategy into reality. This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct eCommerce requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for large-scale projects
– Independently handle ambiguous situations and develop practical plans for achieving clarity
– Translate business needs into functional requirements and address any gaps
– Utilize various techniques such as interviews, workshops, and analysis to elicit requirements
– Act as a product owner for the development and QA team, validating solutions and providing demos to clients
– Present solution alternatives to clients and work in a globally distributed team model
– Decompose high-level requirements into functional ones and represent them using appropriate methods
– Lead requirements validation activities and prioritize ongoing requirements
– Establish and implement effective requirements practices and assist with the development of organizational policies and procedures
– Identify ways to assist product management and conduct research and analysis to support product planning
– Travel to client sites as needed and support other eCommerce teams with best practices and business processes
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, Computer Science, or related field
– 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in IT services or SI
– Experience with eCommerce, web application development, or other eBusiness solutions
– Strong facilitation and communication skills across business and technical audiences
– Familiarity with internet technologies and trends
– Understanding of eCommerce internationalization and localization complexities
– Ability to resolve problems with IT systems and individuals
– Experience with enterprise-class eCommerce platforms and Agile development processes
– Familiarity with Jira is desired and knowledge of multiple industries is a plus
