Software Engineer II – Fundrise
Fundrise, a leading financial technology company, is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and scaling our Investment Processing Platform. You will be responsible for designing scalable systems, managing implementation with a team of engineers, maintaining high-quality standards, and monitoring software usage. You will collaborate with key stakeholders from various teams to ensure the best value for our investors.
Responsibilities:
– Design, scale, and enhance software systems for our rapidly growing fintech investment platform
– Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and issue resolution
– Monitor and maintain systems on AWS
– Conduct code reviews and ensure software quality
– Collaborate with non-engineering teams to deliver and improve our solutions
– Contribute to infrastructure development and AWS service integrations
Minimum Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
– 3 years of experience working with Java
– 2 years of experience building and maintaining production-level applications
– 2 years of experience with Spring and ORM frameworks
– 2 years of experience with SQL and RDBMS
– 1 year of experience with Cloud Computing platforms
– Demonstrated track record of effective communication and coordination with business stakeholders
– Ability to quickly understand complex domains and workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems for scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance
– Experience with cloud-native architecture and application development on AWS
– Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, containers, and Kubernetes
