The Role
We are seeking a talented Senior BI Analyst to transform Prolific into a data-driven organization. Reporting to the VP of Data, Research & Analytics, you will be responsible for company-wide reporting and analytics, establishing and tracking KPIs, and driving data-informed decisions across all teams. This role is crucial in creating a metrics-driven culture and fostering accountability throughout the organization.
What You Will Bring
Expertise in Analytics: Proficient in SQL and modern BI tools (e.g. Metabase, Looker, Tableau) with a proven track record of building scalable reporting solutions.
Stakeholder Management: Able to build strong partnerships across functions and seniority levels.
Cross-functional Alignment: Skilled at aligning metrics across teams and creating shared accountability for outcomes.
Business Acumen: Experience working with executive stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions through data.
Data Storytelling: Proven ability to turn complex analyses into compelling narratives that drive action.
Marketplace Understanding: Strong grasp of B2B and two-sided marketplace metrics and economics.
Financial Literacy: Ability to connect operational metrics to financial outcomes and support forecasting.
Process Design: Experienced in establishing data governance and metric definition frameworks.
Training & Enablement: Able to foster data literacy and empower non-technical users.
Documentation: Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and creating clear, maintainable documentation.
What You Will Do in the Role
Company KPIs: Strengthen and evolve our metrics framework, continuously improving how we track, measure, and act on what matters.
Executive Reporting: Own board and executive-level reporting, providing insights for strategic decision making.
Team Performance: Establish and track team-level metrics across the organization, creating accountability and visibility into performance.
Financial Partnership: Collaborate with Finance to connect operational metrics to financial outcomes and support forecasting.
Operational Excellence: Partner with operational teams such as RevOps, Support, and Finance to optimize processes through data.
Self-Service Analytics: Develop and maintain dashboards and training to enable teams to access insights independently.
Analytics Advocacy: Advocate for data-driven decision making through training, documentation, and best practices.
Process Implementation: Establish processes for metric definition, tracking, and reporting to ensure consistency across teams.
Analytics Infrastructure: Work with other analysts and analytics engineering to align metric definitions and create efficient data models.
