Job Description:
As a Java Developer at Greenfly, you will play a crucial role in building the APIs and services that power our platform. Working closely with our team of engineers and product managers, you will create solutions that not only meet the needs of our customers but also drive the growth of our community.
Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop platform APIs and services.
– Utilize your expertise in Java and the Spring application framework to build high-quality code for various platform components.
– Proactively contribute ideas and strategies to enhance our platform development practices.
– Troubleshoot and quickly resolve any technical issues that arise.
– Participate in code reviews, optimizations, and enhancements.
– Adhere to best practices for high-performing web applications.
– Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest developments in API development, including GraphQL.
– Utilize your solid understanding of object-oriented programming to develop distributed applications.
– Build mapping layers for custom CRUD operations on both relational and key/value storage engines.
– Collaborate with team members and value collaboration over individual ego.
– Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace by learning from others and embracing different perspectives.
Requirements:
– 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on crafting APIs and Restful Services.
– Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and experience with distributed applications.
– Familiarity with GraphQL and other modern API development tools.
– BS degree in Software Engineering or equivalent.
– Curiosity, empathy, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
– Ability to work well in a team and prioritize collaboration over individual ego.
