We are currently seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team at DuckDuckGo, the Internet privacy company that empowers users to take back their privacy. With over 250 million downloads, our all-in-one product has been a leader in developing new privacy technology and advocating for online privacy rights.
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our privacy-focused products and work with a cross-functional team to improve our frontend software architecture. You will also have the chance to mentor other engineers and collaborate on remote projects, while prioritizing privacy and user experience in all aspects of the engineering process.

Key Responsibilities:
– Write performant, testable, and consistent code for our all-in-one privacy solution
– Lead and contribute to new and existing product features, taking ownership of code maintenance and improvement
– Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional team members through remote collaboration opportunities
– Provide technical architecture input for complex products and prioritize privacy and user experience throughout the engineering process
– Stay up-to-date with new technologies and continuously improve your skills
Qualifications:
– 7+ years of experience in engineering positions with a focus on coding
– Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, and Typescript
– Strong understanding of web application architecture
– Ability to lead engineering projects with little to no oversight
– Experience building large-scale web applications and collaborating with engineers on backend and other platforms
– Experience working with product and design teams to create consumer-facing products
– Willingness to learn new technologies and ideas
