JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for executing data science projects for market research, providing valuable insights to our clients to support their decision-making processes. This role requires expertise in Machine Learning algorithms and their implementation to solve business problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Collaborate with research and sales teams to develop innovative solutions and analyses to meet study objectives
– Educate clients on the value of data-driven decision-making and effectively communicate the “how and why” of solutions
– Execute and deliver analytics projects on time, within budget, and meeting all scope requirements, from RFP to delivery
– Utilize advanced analytics methods such as segmentation, MaxDiff, conjoint analysis, factor analysis, and TURF to perform complex analyses on client projects
– Identify and implement tools and methods to analyze and consolidate data required for project implementation
QUALIFICATIONS:
– Master’s degree in statistics, business intelligence, operations research, or related field with a focus on quantitative methods and data science OR extensive experience in the CPG space
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science within the CPG research industry, preferably on the supplier side
– Proficiency in R and/or Python (SPSS and SAS are assets)
– Extensive experience in building statistical models with tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, or Tableau
– Advanced skills in Excel, pivot tables, macros, and database interfaces
SKILLS:
– Strong consultative skills, with the ability to understand business objectives and provide end-to-end service to clients
– Expertise in data processing, analysis, and modeling
– Excellent influencing skills and the ability to interpret market research techniques
– Innovative mindset to drive the development of custom research tools and stay up-to-date with industry trends
