Senior Product Designer at Bestow

The Product Design team at Bestow is a group of passionate individuals who love solving problems and take pride in their work. We collaborate with cross-functional teams within Bestow and external partners to create user-friendly experiences that adapt to our clients’ needs. Along with the Product Team, we are dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of Bestow’s platform and delivering exceptional online life insurance solutions that reflect our high standards of care and quality.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer to join our collaborative UX team. In this role, you will help shape the user experience of our agent platform by creating intuitive and visually appealing tools that support agents in guiding clients through applications. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that balance a seamless partner experience with a strong and adaptable platform foundation. This is a remote position and reports to our Design Manager. #LI REMOTE
Responsibilities:
– Lead the design process from ideation to execution for key projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
– Mentor team members and lead impactful design initiatives.
– Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to define design strategy and deliver high-quality solutions.
– Create and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
– Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate concepts.
– Advocate for user-centered design principles and maintain consistency with our design system.
– Mentor and provide feedback to UX team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
– Present design solutions and articulate design rationale to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Requirements:
– Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital products and services.
– Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma or other industry standard programs.
– Experience with user research methods, usability testing, and data-driven design.
– Strong understanding of design systems, responsive design, and accessibility best practices.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly present and advocate for design decisions.
– Proven experience in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, working closely with product and engineering teams to ship software that drives measurable business outcomes.
– Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Preferred qualifications:
– Enthusiasm for tackling challenging tasks (Our company motto is “Make hard things easier.”).
– Experience designing for a startup.
– Solid understanding of front-end and back-end development processes, enabling you to align design solutions with real technical constraints.
– Familiarity with the insurance or financial industry.
