Job Description:
MoCaFi is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer with a customer-centric approach to create engaging and meaningful web experiences. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company website to provide a seamless user experience that aligns with our brand and business objectives. As a key member of our Product team, you will work towards building a website that allows our customers to securely access their accounts and monitor their payment status. This role reports to the Director of UX/UI Design.
At MoCaFi, we believe in a collaborative approach, and everyone is expected to contribute to ensure the successful completion of projects. Therefore, you may be required to undertake various design-related tasks, such as working on prototypes, analyzing metrics, and testing new ideas. We also work with tight deadlines and constantly strive to deliver an unparalleled product for our clients and customers.
This position is remote, with the option to work from our Manhattan headquarters for candidates based in the NYC area. The salary range for this role is $90,000-120,000, depending on experience and location.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design and develop a user interface (UI) for the client website, allowing users to securely log in and view their payment request status
– Hire, manage, and develop a team of web designers
– Design Lo-Fi and Hi-Fi comps and prototypes for optimal user engagement
– Conduct research and design thinking activities to understand customer and client needs
– Develop Information Architecture, navigation, labeling, and search functions
– Ensure consistency in design and adherence to brand guidelines
– Gather and understand business requirements, legal implications, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to deliver and measure success
– Present design progress and gain stakeholder buy-in
– Collaborate with Content Designers, Marketing, and Legal teams to ensure compliance and consistency across various platforms and materials
– Facilitate decision-making between business stakeholders and development teams
– Create new design components and provide ongoing website support
– Manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
– Ensure website accessibility and adherence to web standards (e.g., ADA compliance)
– Stay updated on the latest web design trends, techniques, and technologies
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Human Centered Design or a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in a startup environment
– At least 3 years of experience in the financial services industry
– Strong proficiency in Figma (at least 3 years of experience)
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading and developing a team
– Knowledge of responsive design, user-centered design, interaction design, and UI/UX principles
– Familiarity with web accessibility standards, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript
– Experience with Scrum Agile development process
– Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, FigJam, Miro, Visio, or similar tools
– Proficiency in Confluence, JIRA, or similar project management tracking systems
– Strong portfolio showcasing design process and thinking
– Must be authorized to work permanently in the United States
