Levellr is a fast-growing startup that provides software and community expertise to some of the world’s largest gaming companies, brands, and music labels. We are seeking an experienced and creative UI/UX Designer to join our team and lead the design of our software product. As a UI/UX Designer, you will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create seamless, visually appealing, and intuitive user experiences for our diverse clients. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the look and feel of products that serve high-profile brands and drive fan engagement.
Responsibilities:
– Develop user-centered designs that meet Levellr’s functional and aesthetic goals, ensuring a smooth and engaging user journey.
– Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for new features and products, clearly articulating design choices to stakeholders and team members.
– Partner with product managers, engineers, and customer success to understand user needs, align on project requirements, and maintain design consistency across the platform.
– Conduct user research, including usability tests, interviews, and surveys, to gather insights and identify areas for improvement in our products.
– Define and implement Levellr’s visual style, creating designs that reflect our brand identity and make a memorable impression on users.
– Establish and maintain a scalable design system that allows for efficient product updates and fosters consistency across all interfaces.
– Actively seek and incorporate feedback from users and internal teams to refine designs, continuously improving the user experience and responsiveness of our products.
– Stay informed about UI/UX trends, emerging technologies, and competitor designs to keep Levellr’s products on the cutting edge.
Qualifications:
– 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a portfolio showcasing successful, user-centered designs in SaaS, community engagement, or social platform products.
– Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
– Proven ability to conduct user research and usability testing, translating insights into actionable design improvements.
– Ability to balance user needs with business objectives, delivering designs that are not only visually appealing but also functionally sound.
– Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and advocate for the user experience in a collaborative environment.
– Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile setting where priorities may shift as Levellr continues to grow and expand.
– Meticulous approach to visual design, typography, and layout, ensuring an intuitive and delightful user experience.
Bonus Skills:
– Experience designing animations or micro-interactions to enhance user engagement.
– Basic knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better collaborate with engineers.
– Familiarity with community platforms like Discord, Telegram, or other community-focused tools.
About Levellr:
Levellr was founded in 2021 by two co-founders, Tom (CEO) and Ben (CTO), who have a combined 15 years of experience building communities at companies such as YouTube and Interpublic Group. Our mission is to help our clients shift to community platforms like Discord and Reddit. We have largely bootstrapped our company, but have recently received investments from experienced gaming and media investors.
