The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer II (Ruby on Rails) to join our team and contribute to building an exceptional technology company. This is a hands-on role where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver core features.
Key Responsibilities:
– Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to provide innovative solutions to Wrapbook customer challenges
– Lead the delivery of complex projects with ambiguous requirements by breaking them down into manageable tasks
– Take ownership of feature delivery from concept to production
– Write efficient, scalable, and secure code
– Conduct code reviews and participate in code review sessions to mentor and learn from other developers
– Ensure high-quality, well-tested, and well-architected code
– Continuously improve our tools, processes, and best practices
– Enhance existing complex architectures and platforms
– Communicate technical tradeoffs effectively
– Collaborate on projects involving banking integrations and money transactions
Qualifications:
– Strong technical background with significant experience in developing web applications for production use
– Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries (experience with PostgreSQL is an asset)
– Familiarity with designing and documenting RESTful APIs
– Customer-focused with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality
– Experience with Ruby on Rails development and building APIs
– Knowledge of banking APIs and money transfers
– Familiarity with basic accounting principles
– Understanding of general ledger systems
– Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail
