Who Gives A Crap is a high-growth startup with a mission to provide eco-friendly products and donate 50% of profits to fund sanitation projects around the world. We’ve already contributed over $18 million AUD (roughly $12.5 million USD) and are striving to increase our annual donation tenfold in the next few years. Role Overview:

As the Digital Designer at Who Gives A Crap, you will play a crucial role in shaping our brand and connecting with customers through creative, eye-catching graphics across all marketing channels. In collaboration with our Marketing Design Lead, you will have the opportunity to work on campaigns that make a difference and elevate our brand. We are looking for someone who loves generating fresh ideas, thinking outside the box, and finding creative ways to amplify our brand’s message. This is a remote-first position, and you will have the chance to work with a global team, collaborating for 4-6 hours a day with the US team in the afternoon and the Australian team in the morning.

Responsibilities:

– Create bold and impactful graphics that reflect our fun, purpose-driven brand and resonate with customers
– Collaborate closely with the Marketing Design Lead to deliver on business goals, especially in social media and content marketing
– Brainstorm and pitch creative ideas to elevate campaigns and drive brand growth
– Work with the video team to bring our brand’s personality to life on set
– Design assets for various touchpoints, maintaining brand guidelines while delivering exceptional customer experience
– Pitch and execute social media ideas centered on hot-topic cultural conversations to disrupt, delight, and engage our audience
– Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and explore new ways to leverage platforms for brand growth

Requirements:

– Mid-weight graphic designer or art director with proficiency in Adobe and Figma
– Strong belief that design should drive results, not just look good
– Passion for creative work that supports growth marketing and makes a positive impact
– Understanding of social media landscape and ability to leverage platforms in new and exciting ways
– Ability to generate creative ideas and embrace feedback to create high-performing content
– Strong presentation and communication skills to deliver creative recommendations to both the team and stakeholders
– Curiosity and proactive approach to understand the marketing strategy and broader company goals
– Ability to see the bigger picture and understand how individual projects contribute to overall objectives
– Proven track record of taking initiative, addressing challenges, and finding solutions
– Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
– Strong desire to make a positive impact in the world and work with like-minded individuals
