Position: Senior Data Engineer at Zencore

Our team is seeking experienced individuals with a strong background in Google Cloud to join us. We specialize in helping customers with their migration to Google Cloud and data and application modernization, providing strategic guidance and co-development support.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Senior Data Engineer at Zencore, you will work with innovative companies and utilize Databricks to drive their transformation. You will act as a trusted advisor for our clients, providing assistance throughout their journey with Databricks. Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of technology topics, including ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing, Distributed Data Processing, Streaming Data systems, Data Modeling, Data Security & Governance, and BI/AI.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a data engineering role
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with Databricks
• Preferred candidates will have Databricks’ Data Engineer Associate or Data Engineer Professional certification
• Familiarity with Databricks’ tech stack for data engineering, such as notebooks, clusters, jobs, workflows, serverless SQL, unity catalog, repos, dashboards, DLT, etc.
• Experience developing production Spark applications
• Strong skills in Python, PySpark, and Spark SQL
• Extensive knowledge of Delta Lake technology and best practices for data pipeline development
• Experience with Spark Structured Streaming and Databricks Delta Live Tables (DLT)
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases
• Understanding of incremental update patterns and technologies available on Databricks, such as CDC, SCD#2, autoloader, change data feed (CDF), DLT, Delta Lake ACID, etc.
