Candid Health is seeking a talented and experienced BI (Analytics) Engineer to join our growing team. As the first BI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bridging Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Data Analysis. Your work will be a key strategic investment for our company and products, as you will be responsible for developing data models and pipelines to support downstream data products. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business and contribute to the scaling of our data team. Key Responsibilities:
– Lead Data Modeling as a Practice: Develop and deliver essential reporting, analytics, and data models for various use cases. You will set the standard for operational excellence in extracting data for meaningful insights.
– Lay the Foundation for Future Data Work: We have ambitious plans to leverage data as a key component of our long-term product strategy. In this role, you will improve and scale our data infrastructure, enabling future ML and AI products.
– Implement New Processes and Systems for Data Collection and Analysis: Collaborate with engineers to understand complex production data and ensure accuracy and availability of tooling and visualization platforms.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or another data-intensive field of study, such as Library Science.
– Experience with data models, data pipelines, and performing analysis.
– Hands-on experience with common data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
– Passion for data modeling, with a strong understanding of SQL and experience using it in complex data environments.
– Familiarity with modern data engineering principles and the ability to communicate and educate others on these concepts.
– Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and solving complex tasks with significant business impact.
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms.
Bonus Skills:
– Experience or exposure to Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), Metabase, Terraform, Python, and DBT.
– Familiarity with pay transparency and equity compensation packages.
Compensation:
The estimated starting annual salary range for this position is $135,000 to $180,000 USD. Please note that this range is a guideline, and the actual base salary may be adjusted based on factors such as job-related skills, experience/qualifications, interview performance, and market data. In addition to base salary, total compensation may include equity, sales incentives (for sales roles), and employee benefits. At Candid Health, we highly value the potential upside of equity in our compensation package.
