Position Summary:
New Era Technology is seeking a highly skilled Digital Product Designer to join our creative team and partner with a global leader in pharmaceutical innovation. In this role, you will use your expertise in digital design to create intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital experiences. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will work within a design system to develop assets targeting healthcare providers and effectively communicate the company’s message, bridging the gap between groundbreaking science and the communities it serves.
Key Responsibilities:
– Set the visual direction by defining the mood, tone, look, and feel of future products and services, and translating this vision into high-fidelity design prototypes and engaging visual assets.
– Elevate our visual standards by maintaining and refining our design language across a wide range of projects, from consumer apps to immersive patient journey storytelling.
– Mentor and inspire other designers by providing thoughtful direction, critique, and mentorship, ensuring elegance and innovation in all aspects of our work.
– Champion design craft by utilizing a deep understanding of typography, color, grid systems, motion, and visual hierarchy to create pixel-perfect, polished digital experiences.
– Drive strategic impact by contributing thought leadership to ensure our design practice remains at the forefront of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
– Communicate and collaborate effectively by presenting design rationale across teams, stakeholders, and leadership, translating complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives.
Qualifications:
– 10+ years of experience in visual design, UI design, or digital product design, with a background in agile or digital product development.
– A stellar portfolio showcasing best-in-class design work across interface and screen-based experiences, demonstrating mastery of typography, grid, layout, and color theory.
– Strong experience in designing for digital products (web, mobile, etc.), with a focus on scalable design systems and component-based workflows.
– Proven track record of delivering high-impact digital experiences, with expertise in balancing business, brand, and user needs.
– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts in a clear, concise, and inspiring manner.
– Strong collaboration mindset, enjoying working cross-functionally and thriving in a team-oriented environment.
– Creative leadership experience, including mentorship, critique, and a passion for elevating design teams.
– Preferred but not required: experience leading design teams in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or other highly-regulated industries.
– Preferred but not required: understanding of contemporary development processes and familiarity with modern front-end libraries and frameworks.
