About the Team:
The CAD team at Aurora Solar is a highly experienced group with expertise in GIS data, CAD 3D modeling, visualization, Web UI, and simulation cloud-compute engines. Their work is crucial, as they provide CAD technologies to other teams and integrate them into various Aurora Solar products. This team’s contributions generate the majority of our revenue and significantly impact the customer experience with our solutions.

About the Role:
As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer/Developer, you will play a critical role in our CAD team by providing expertise and leadership in both FullStack and Backend technologies. Your main responsibility will be to improve integration of CAD technologies with the services and APIs of the Aurora Cloud Platform. This role will involve working with various technical layers, such as Frontend (FE), Backend (BE), CAD engines, AWS, Service Oriented Architecture, and Cloud monitoring/Alerting. You will be expected to come up with new and creative ways to implement efficient FE-BE interfaces and libraries for processing high-volume data.

Your Impact:
As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer/Developer at Aurora Solar, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our company and the solar industry as a whole. Your responsibilities will include:

– Deploying best practices in FE and BE software development
– Enhancing our Ruby-on-Rails BE application and related services for easier integration of CAD technologies into the Aurora Cloud Platform
– Creating new FE and BE services on AWS to support CAD technologies
– Maintaining and creating Web APIs for strategic technical partners
– Optimizing and implementing efficient FE-BE interfaces and libraries for processing high-volume data
– Mentoring teammates on service-oriented architecture and BE implementation
– Taking operational responsibility for your team’s services and participating in an on-call rotation

What You Bring:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

– Working experience as a Full Stack developer
– Expertise in the latest C++
– Experience with Javascript and/or Typescript
– Experience with Git or other version control systems, CI/CD, and Automated testing
– Self-motivation, good communication skills, and the ability to prioritize team results over self
– Comfort with ambiguity
– Language Requirement: Proficiency in both written and spoken English. Please submit your resume in English.

Nice to Haves:
The following are not required, but would be considered assets:

– Proficiency with Ruby-on-Rails
– Proficiency with React
– Experience with cloud monitoring services like Datadog
– Familiarity with data fetching frameworks like GraphQL
– Knowledge of async job frameworks like Sidekiq
– Experience with browser-based 3D visualization (WebGL, three.js)
