Lead Clinical Data Analyst
GeneDx is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Clinical Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, the Lead Clinical Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting our Medical Affairs team by compiling and analyzing clinical data, generating insights, and contributing to the development of evidence-based strategies. This position requires a deep understanding of clinical data, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively. The individual in this role will work cross-functionally with both internal stakeholders across the organization and external collaborators to generate data insights for conference presentations, scientific publications, and commercial messaging. This is a high-growth environment, and we are looking for a quick learner who is passionate about using data to shorten the diagnostic journey for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct comprehensive data analyses to support scientific research, conference presentations, and manuscript preparation.
– Work closely with cross-functional teams, including medical writers, clinical program managers, clinicians, and researchers, to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
– Generate detailed reports and visualizations to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner to internal stakeholders, including healthcare providers, researchers, and executives.
– Co-develop the data analysis strategy for clinical research studies and commercial messaging, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation of results.
– Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure data integrity and reproducibility.
– Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of clinical data by implementing best practices in data management and quality control and ensure analyses comply with relevant regulatory guidelines and standards.
– Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the organization.
– Stay current with the latest advancements in genetic testing and data science methodologies.
– Utilize advanced statistical and computational methods to analyze genetic and clinical data.
Qualifications:
– PhD in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Genetics, or a related field.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical data analysis, preferably in the genetic testing or healthcare industry.
– Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL.
– Strong understanding of genetic data and clinical research methodologies.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
– High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
– Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
– Proven track record of contributing to scientific publications and conference presentations.
– Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
– Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices.
Preferred:
– Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in genetic testing and clinical research.
– Experience in developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures.
– Experience using cloud-based data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake or equivalent.
– Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in healthcare.
Pay Transparency, Budgeted Range: $165,000 – $185,000 USD.
