Job Description:
We are seeking highly skilled Senior and Staff level Software Engineers based in the USA to join our team. As a member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to design, implement, launch, and scale major systems and user-facing features.

Responsibilities:
– Design, scale, debug, and optimize systems to ensure speed and reliability
– Participate in code reviews and provide suggestions for code quality improvements
– Care about the quality of code and systems produced
– Collaborate effectively in a fully distributed team
– Manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:
– 5+ years of experience building modern back-end systems for Senior/Staff level candidates, and ~3 years for Mid-level candidates
– Experience working with Python preferred, but other languages acceptable with a desire to learn Python
– Hands-on production experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or similar data stores
– Familiarity with code review processes
– Passion for producing high-quality code and systems
– Must be located in the USA

Bonus points for:
– Contributions to open source projects related to our tech stack
– Experience leading small project teams
– Experience building B2B SaaS products
– Familiarity with complex architectures supporting multiple APIs (e.g. REST, GQL, WebSockets) and async task and event processing frameworks

Projects you will work on:
– Designing, building, and launching new user-facing features
– Improving performance and scalability of GraphQL and REST API
– Enhancing syncing of sales emails and calendar events
– Utilizing Twilio’s API, WebSockets, and WebRTC to improve calling features
– Developing user-facing analytics features based on sales activity data
– Improving our powerful search features using Elasticsearch
– Enhancing internal messaging infrastructure with streaming technologies like Kafka and Redis
– Building and enhancing integrations with other SaaS platforms such as Google’s G Suite, Zapier, and Web Conferencing providers
