Position: Senior React-Native Developer

Company Description:

CompanyCam is a user-friendly photo documentation and productivity app designed for contractors in the commercial and home services industries. Our goal is to improve communication and accountability within businesses and with customers by providing an innovative and game-changing experience.

We are a team of laid-back yet hardworking individuals who value authenticity and aim to create a positive impact through our product.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled, self-motivated, and solution-oriented Senior React-Native Developer to join our Platform engineering team.

As a Senior React-Native Developer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our engineers have the necessary resources to be efficient and satisfied. Your responsibilities will include enhancing our experimentation framework, updating our eventing library, improving our mobile release process, and exploring the new architecture of react-native. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, pitch your own ideas, and actively contribute to the growth of our engineering team and processes, particularly in our client engineering discipline (React and React Native).

At CompanyCam, our engineering team works remotely, covering all time zones in the United States. We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds and do not require a specific degree to apply. Our unique Product and Engineering departments operate using a customized version of Basecamp’s Shape Up method, where engineers work on projects independently for a 5-week cycle and have a 2-week cool-down period for personal growth and exploration. We prioritize our engineers’ time, treat them as adults, and trust them to deliver quality work. We also value work-life balance and do not expect our employees to work nights or weekends.

Our company culture is relaxed yet focused, and we encourage learning from each other and having fun. We offer competitive pay, unlimited vacation, meaningful equity, health insurance, and other benefits. This is a salaried position with a starting salary of $130,000 for mid-level engineers and a top salary of $170,000 for senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

– Show up and give your best effort in all tasks, including tackling difficult but necessary challenges.
– Take responsibility for your work, continuously learn, and maintain a growth mindset.
– Treat your colleagues and customers with respect and kindness.
– Utilize your strong experience and knowledge of React-Native (4+ years).
– Familiarity with Apollo or Redux.
– At least 5 years of full-time professional development experience.
– Reside permanently in the United States.
– Native iOS or Android experience is a plus.
– Experience with web frontend development (React with Typescript) is a bonus.
– Familiarity with Android Studio, Xcode, GraphQL, and REST is an advantage.

About CompanyCam:

At CompanyCam, we believe in our core values of Showing Up, Growing Up, and Doing Good. We trust our employees to make the best decisions for our product, customers, and team members and empower them to do so without bureaucratic barriers. We are an equal opportunity employer and strive to create a diverse and inclusive work environment where all individuals can thrive. We encourage everyone to apply, even if you do not meet all the requirements. We are excited to review your application and learn about your unique experiences and skills.
