Better Proposals is seeking a talented Front End Developer to join our product team at our headquarters in Brighton, UK. Our company is a leading proposal tool for businesses, helping them create and send web-based, high-converting proposals, contracts, and other documents. With trackable, modern documents that can be signed and paid for online, our software enables sales representatives to win more clients and get paid faster. We currently have over 10,000 users worldwide and are looking to expand our team to continue our growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for coding the front end of new features and updates to our existing features and flows within the product. You will collaborate with our CEO, CTO, and product team to design new features and improve existing ones, ensuring consistency with our product’s presentation. You will also communicate with our Customer Support manager to understand any issues with the product and work with our marketing team to accurately represent the product. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, able to meet tight deadlines, and willing to take feedback and help others in the team.
A day in the life:
– Start your day when you like and finish when you’ve done a good honest day’s work – that’s all.
– Work with our CEO, CTO, and product team on designs for new features and improvements.
– Push through bottlenecks and ensure work is published live.
– Communicate with our Customer Support manager to understand any issues with the product.
– Collaborate with our marketing team to accurately represent the product.
What you’ll do:
– Develop the front end of new features and updates to existing features and flows within the product.
– Ensure consistency with our product’s presentation.
– Understand our software’s ethos of simplicity and maintain it as we build new features and grow the product.
– Communicate clearly with developers when working together.
– Provide weekly written updates and attend occasional Zoom meetings.

Requirements:
– Experience using Figma as a mock-up tool.
– Outstanding knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JS.
– Proficiency in collaborating using Github.
– Ideally, previous experience in SaaS.
– Ability to create elements from scratch, such as icons and UI text.
– Strong testing and auditing skills to ensure high-quality work.
– Familiarity with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud is an advantage.
– A team player, willing to take feedback and help others.
– Self-starter, able to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
– Comfortable working in a 100% remote team.
– Able to start within a reasonable timeframe (30 days or less).
